chevy motor in a fox!

the white pinks car went 9.6? on a stock ls1with head work cam and pistons and 150 shot, made 440 hp on motor and 525 on spray is what I was told.it had stock intake, injectors, maf, whalbro pump, and duke did the harness wich was very nice only takes a few wires to make the motor run.im planing on putting a 6.0 in my regal soon totally stock just for reliabillity

so i can go faster w.o spending 2k on a block

You can go deep in the 8s with a stock windsor block.

The white pinks car got whooped both on motor and on spray by a stock block SBF in a heavier and less aerodynamic car, so that's a bad example.

I love the LS engines, but you certainly don't need one to go fast in a Mustang. It all depends exactly what you're trying to do, and also what your budget is. I've had both and both did exactly what I was looking for.

ya I was just pointing out ease of build and how you dont need to spend alot to make them run theres always a faster car out there.

i cant wait to get this show on the road...just a couple more weeks and the cars gonna be getting worked on ( court bills ) fml

you guys ever think about resale ?? Put a biult sbf in a Mustang and you can`t get shit.....I put a stockish LS motor in a Mustang and sold it for $19,000....and ya i made money on it and i`m doing it again....The guy that bought my Mustang was a Ford guy.......has a new Ford truck and a newer Cobra ......

They're worth a ton just because of the LS swap.

They are less expensive than a sbf. I built a stroked windsor and I will have no where near what I had in to that as I will in to my LS swap. None of this is cheap, but the ls platform is a great starting point for a great price.
yea that too the motors are expencive

Dollar Per HP LS is cheaper. People are paying top dollar because it's still a new swap that isn't perfected, and people would rather pay for a done car then do it thenselves. Classic of supply and demand and lazy people who don't wanna build thier own shit.

x2 Im about to put a LQ9 in my malibu.

Seems like you bumped your head or somethin'.
IMO you're gonna spend more converting it to a chevy since you already have a bunch of sbf stuff.
I went with a Man o' war block.

I went with a stock GM LS block, stock LS crank, stock LS rods, factory stock LS heads with new valve spring, hydrolic roller cam and pump gas with a carb....

Those are a lot more rare but theyre out there at about $800 more than an LQ9. But the fact that they already have the eventual next choice in heads on them makes them a very good buy.
