im gonna sell all my sbf stuff and buy a lq9...i wanna kno what i need to install this in my notch

what wire harness
ecu
headers
k member
tranny
tranny cross member all this good stuff i really wanna do it cause why build a stock sbf when it can only handle 500 horse? lmk your input fellas thx

ls1tech has about all the information youll need

you have a lot of options

wireharness has a lot of options for around 500 bucks or you can build your own for cheap
ecu again has options, depends on how you plan on tuning it
headers dynatechs or hookers are bolt on options or you can buy 351w headers and change the flanges
k member again has its options...most people seem happy with aje however i wish i had a team z
trans....th350/400 or do you want over drive? 4l60e/80e you have plenty of options it all depends on your goals.
tranny of course depends on the trans..a lq4 with a th350 is said to be able to use stock trans cross member

like i said do your research on ls1tech it has just about every option available there, you wallet being the limiting factor

if you wanna do the swap even cheaper and easier
convert it to carb, very easily done.

I'm doing a swap right now carb ls1 in my 94 loosing alot of weight up front with all aluminum motor is great, along with the carb is keeping everything simple. Ls1 tech is helpful with stuff use the search for things. This only a a suggestion but do all the hard shit first like finding the powerplant that you really want and trans then re- wires the bitch that's what I did, but you will need the k member n stuff with carb you will need msd box 6010 or the other box for ls2 style motors ( reluctor wheel number) I have dynatech headers not in car yet but nice for the money other stuff you will realize you will need along the way ask if you got questions

k sweet i might go fuel injected tho im gonna build the bottom end a lil to support some more power buy the pwr the block can handle won my ass over lol

i have big goals and some cash to invest im gonna build the shit out the bottom end

Depending on how big those goals are you might want to consider staying with a small block Ford.

I own both, the fords run great if you really want to go fast.

Why would one ever do that? If you want to go fast for cheap you use a BBF or BBC. Crossbreads create more drama then its worth unless you like the attention. It would be different if you had a bunch of parts and no $ for some kind of a grudge car, But to say your going to sell one thing to start down a different path does not seem logical...

the only reason i wanna do it cause i wanna make over 500 horse with out my block splitting the lq9 blocks handle 1000+ horse and make good power for cheaper imo.

It's not tough at all. Wiring is easy, a factory harness can be adapted to work and everyone tunes LS engines now. You can buy adapters to bolt them in, fuel system isn't special, parts are everywhere for them, ect. I don't know if there's much of a cost savings going carb but people do it.

all depends on where you start

but
intake 350
msd box 350
carb - 600 brand new..you can find a lot cheaper used and other places

efi...harness - 3-500 depending on what you buy
intake- goal depending again of course - 300
injectors depends on goals but figure 300
throttle body 50-???
few extra small odds n ends like fuel rails etc
tuning - depends if you do it yourself - 300ish buying hptuners used / someone else doing it everytime you make changes on the car..even more.

but dont forget to shoot me that price for the wire harness conversion duke.
I'd appreciate it
