Checking Interest - 1990 5.0 - complete engine

Just want to check interest on an engine that I am pulling out of my car. It is a stock 5.0. It runs well. I am pulling it out because there was some kind of oxidation that got into the water passages and there is just no way I can clean it all out without taking it apart and hot-tanking it. I have another engine ready to go so it is just easier for me to swap it out. I thought it might be a great core for someone looking to build a 347. As I said, it runs well and I doubt it has been bored. Anybody interested? How much do you think it is worth? I know how much the local scrap yard will give me for it.

You mean a long block or intake to pan? long block is probably worth $50-100, complete I'd say $200 if it needs work like you say.
 
It's a complete engine -pan to intake $200? Not too bad. My son said he wants it but he has no place to keep it, no way to move it, and no money to rebuild it. I need another engine jammed into my garage like I need another set of turbine rims! LOL Thanks for your help!
