Changing out diff and gears on my Ford 8.8... whats obviously wrong here?

I know there are a few carriers, I dont think there is one out there better then the rest. Are you doing an explorer side gear 31spline, with like an 03 cobra clutch/steel combo?

I didnt think there was a better than the rest, they all seem to be the same. To be honest I dont know what combo the diff is. The guy I got it from said it was a 8.8, been rebuilt and accepts a 31 spline. As far as what parts,I have no idea. I originally have a Explorer rear and diff, so maybe this was a mustang 28 that they swapped out for 31 side gears? Can you do that?

LoL I looked and went oh fuck, thought that may have happened. But upon close inspection it didn't mesh up AT ALL. The pinion is driven below axles centerline and the reverse gear is above axle centerline, so it didn't match up at all.

And yes, the reverse ring gear set if for a front axle.
