New stuff on the left, old gears and diff on the right.

Who can spot it? After someone spots it... please give me a good explaination as of why. Because I'm sitting here going WTF!? And I know the old one is an ABS so minus the reluctor wheel.

Yes the teeth are going the wrong f'in way. Drove from 29 Palms to Lake havasu to pick it up, NOT a short drive about 325 miles round trip. The guy tells me its from an explorer rear pulled from a Jeep. I had the diff in the car and saw it bolted up to it... never thought about the orientation of the teeth.

The diff was purchased separately from the gears, I just picked up the gears. So will this diff be compatible with mine when I get the right gear? And whats the reason for reverse rotation gears? It was advertised as rear gears out of a 8.8. I only paid 20 bucks for it but made up for 40 in gas.

should have no problem with the diff section itself once you get the right gears.

Did you measure the diff at all???

Yes, end to end is the same, bolt pattern is the same for the ring gear, lateral dimension for the gear is the same and accepts a 31 spline. Just shaped a little bit different. maybe an updated year?

I know there are a few carriers, I dont think there is one out there better then the rest. Are you doing an explorer side gear 31spline, with like an 03 cobra clutch/steel combo?
