Changes to the coupe

Took some weight out of the car today..dropped 30 lbs out of it!!! The Kirkey seats are WAY more comfortable.

Decided to Keep the sliders for adjustability so we made the back supports adjustable as well.

very trick/nice.........as usual.....what's she weighing these days anyway?.....if you don't mind me asking.....

Thanks Jim! I'm right at 3000 lbs with me in it. We are going to be adding some tabs for weight bars this winter as well seeing how everything stinking class other than NMRA SSO (definately get my ass handed to me in that one, LOL) requires us to be AT LEAST 3150, others are 3200. Either way we will be adding some weight to race in any classes.

Could you PM me a pic of the coil-over upper mount bar and anti roll bar area? I am thinking there is going to be more cutting than what I originally thought..Our fuel cell is actually in a pocket we built in the back of the car, but I think it has to be raised back up to make room for the upper shock mounts.

There are a few in my thread if you want to look. Btw. Car looks sick.

Awesome, thanks Keith!! and thanks for the compliment. Sucks having to go back and undo so many things that we tried to make look nice, but we will be sure to do the same this time around. lol

Finally got around to updating the rear suspension. Might try my luck at the X275 stuff, so the double adjustables were a must. Also added several locations for adding ballast to make weight for both Milan X275 and NMRA Xtreme radial..I will get my ass handed to me, but at least it won't be for a lack of the right parts. LOL. Gonna be tricky getting this little tire to work with a th400.

Thanks again to Bill Gilsbach of Gilsbach Racecraft for the awesome work!!!

You have one of the nicest cars on this site! bad ass!!

Thanks Ryan. It has taken a while to get it to this point. I am holding off on the mini-tubs for now, as we are talking another good chunk of cash between shortening the axles, narrowing the housing, the tubs themselves, and the correct wheels / offset. plus the rear quarter panel has been cut for tire growth and potentially using a 29.5x10.5, so i need to get that and the underbody touched up paint wise...Needless to say I need to gather more cash before changing anything else..LOL

Very badass... goodluck
Need anything send me a PM

Thanks Reiko! I will definately need some luck.....and a sharp learning curve. LOL We'll see how it goes...I can always leave in second gear ;)

The bottom line is it really is still a street car, not much street left in it...but I really just do this stuff for fun. To truely be competitve I need to ditch the A/A and get a A/W intercooler....And I will not be doing that any time soon...Too much of a pain for my attention span. lol.

I will definately give ya shout if I need something..thanks man.
