Changes to the coupe

Thanks guys. We will be heading to the track rental this Friday for sure and will be turning up the boost. Don't have a chute yet so can't go too far. Beyond that just been doing some driveability / street tuning to get it crispy lean at cruising RPMs to keep from loading up the plugs.

Steve. Do you already have a mount cable handle and all you needmisna chute? If so I have a stroud that you can use the rest of the summer. If you need everything I can't help.

Let me know if interested.

Keith,

The chute mount is on the car. I still have to mount the lever and run the cable. What size do you have?

Crank it up!

The goal is to see how it leaves with the new front springs on it (last time out the springs were dead) with the previous tune. If it seems like the wheel spin gets better and it will take more, we can up the launch boost. Just don't want any big wheelies, so baby steps will be taken.

Sorry for not getting back to you on your PM....My buddy was on my account and I hadn't been on in a while...He opened the PM and never told me.. Just saw it a couple days ago. I would have gone!! damnit.

So let's recap...

"I will only make 1/8 mile passes for the fist season" - Joe????? Did you see a full 1/4 pass on the first hit? I did.
"I will be happy with pump gas and going 9's" - I think we threw that right out the window already!

Welcome to the wonderful world of power adders Mr Webb. If a little boost is good, more is "better".

It already goes 9's with low boost and pump gas. You have put several street miles on the car. It has proven that it is street capable and quite a handful at the current power level. The car should run great with the new springs and a little more boost. It has always been a street/strip car (more strip than street) so draining the pump gas from the cell and adding race fuel at the track is a fair plan imo. It would be cool to see it run deep into the 8's on C12.

Hey bud. I think it is a 430. Stroud as I mentioned. I can double check if you want but it will stop that stang.

Doesn't say on the chute tag. Says model number serial number and date of manufacture. Would have to call stroud I suppose. Let me know.

Had to get a window net in this turd (techs are getting tired of telling me to get one, LOL), so Billy (Gilsbach Racecraft) knocked it out and added the helmet bar as well seeing how updating to a 25.5 would require it anyway, and this way I only have to buy one window net instead of doing it twice.
