Cement repair - hydraulic lifting

586-855-7373
Owners name is tony.. Tell him Sal with Luigi's sent you.
Forget about any concrete work this year... there's a shortage of St. Mary's cement powder.. We own 2 batch plants and we can barley get concrete for our own jobs.
Rumor is the Chinese is buying ALOT of material out of the US/Canada

Sal - Is this type work feasible during the winter months? I have a few slabs in the driveway and garage that I would like done. If not - it looks like I will just wait till spring.

Thx
Dan

Dan, just call Tony directly...I'm sure he can give you the answer.

Laying cement is possible in cold weather, I have subs pouring cement year around.
Cha Ching! We probably repair about 70-80 subs a year because of the shoe makers that pour them in the winter months.... Three quarters of a million dollar condo's, subs (25/dequinder) less then 10-15 years old, spends about $50k a year with us because streets look like Tijuana roads.....

Most likely they are using the wrong mixture, someone needs the right contractor who knows what they are actually doing, most don't give a shit or have a clue.

And the general contractors always takes low bid so Joe Concrete gets the job using the cheapest grade possible because that's what he bases his estimate on during the bidding process.
It could also be that the engineer spec'd a certain grade of concrete or lack of reinforcement, etc., etc. without more information it's a guess.

We have no calls backs or issues with our sub-contractors regarding pads poured during cold periods.
Looks like you benefit from idiots doing shoddy work as well as I.

Just had Rase it rite come over last weekend and did a bang up job on pretty much my whole driveway. About 6 full slabs and 2 small sections behind the house. Looks MUCH better! Also with everything raised back up almost 5 inches, and pitched correctly. I should see all the water running away from my house now, instead of towards it. Nice guy as well.

For everything all said and done it was a liitle under $700. I also decided to have him do a little more while he was there which caused the price to increase slightly from the estimate. They had to drill a good amount of holes, as well as some saw cutting. Was more work for them then i thought.
