CDZ28's 2000 Camaro

All Business
Got dropped off this morning and was (no offense Ryan) pretty much a train wreck. Little of this and little of that, and this is how she turned out. I'm no SS4Matt, but I get down. This was just a "quicky" and not the full extent of typically how I roll. I'm going to be doing a Fusion and a F-350SD this week and I'm gonna go balls to the wall on those. (all day and then some type thing) The paint on the car is nice, but far from showroom. This was a claybar and wax only.

Let me know what you guys think! My interior pics are shitty. But I'll post one up.

wow great looking Z28. Black on a camaro has such a stealthy cool look when its cleaned up. I think its ther pointy shape.

Car looks good!

Process?
Products used?

Started out with 5 dollars in quarters at the local car wash and a good hand wash. All Meguiars products. A shop vac and my bissel little green and some tuff stuff got the carpets and mats all lined up. Meguiars hot shine liquid tire dressing, mequiars gold class carnuba paste hand waxed, mequiars quick detailer/spray wax and 80G Meguiars clay bar, various little brushes, about a dozen microfiber towels. I do my interiors/jambs first for the most part. Then move on to the exterior. All said and done I had about 6 hours of time on the car. I was moving kind of slow due to the previous nights Kegger. All it takes is the right material, some time, and some know how. Honestly, the best part is when people pick the cars up and go. HOLY F*%K! Looks awesome! Nice job! etc etc. I like that part.

Looks great!

Thanks!

Yeah i really like the car. Looks pretty sweet at dusk!!

Good job on the detail! Any before pics?

Get one, they're fantastic. I use diluted Folex as the shampoo and it works wonders.

No, and I'm kickin myself... It was pretty tore up. I got a few more rides coming that will be good before and after canidates.

I did a 99 Contour today. OMFG guys this thing was so trashed. Original owners, never washed it, never cleaned anything, smoked about 1000 cigs a day and i shit you not used the carpet, which is tan, as the ashtray. What a total shitbomb. I should post pics of that. I litterally changed the color of the paint, and the color of the interior. From totally f*%@Ked to hmm, not really too bad.

Saving my pennies.

They are really not that bad. I bought mine on a whim one day. I think i paid about ~$90 for it. And it came with a small bottle of the formula and a one year warranty. The 64oz bottles of formula are like $9. I have been trying different shampoos, but the Bissel "little green" its my go to stuff for now, and it leaves the carpet smelling nice and clean, it has a good scent.

Good stuff. I forgot to ask, did you polish the paint at all? Any swirls?

No swirls really. Some of the car has been painted on at some point, and some parts of it need paint attention. I t was buffed toward the end of the year last year. After a through hand wash, a clay bar, and a nice coat of Gold Class, it really popped. I was on a bit of a time crunch. A machine polish would have been nice to do, but I havent "perfected" my buffing skills yet, i can manage, and make cars look good, but I'm no wheel master. I have compounds, (all 3M or Meguiars) and do occasionally "wheel" a car. I did the black riv I had for sale on here, and it turned out ok. But to answer your question, no, I didnt machine polish anything. Just a gold ol clay bar/wax.

I'm gonna have some more pics of a few other rides posted soon.
