Well, to most people out there it was just another old Mustang. If the owner didn't want it and the dealer didn't want to mess with it, not much we as enthusiasts can do.

i've owned both, the quality of american cars is by far sub par. i do not dislike american cars, i currently own a GM product but after owning domestic, import (jap), and a euro. i can say the imports where the least problematic.

yes, from my experience american made cars, more specifically GM ones, are poorly assembled and made up os cheap parts.
