Carpet connections?

I didn't see any carpeting guys in the sponsors...

So, anybody here do it? Connections or even just recommendations? Any experience with the big chain places?

I have no idea what carpet costs these days... looking to have 4 rooms (roughly 500 sq ft total) done and a small hallway (something that hides spills and stands up to dog nails snagging)

A very good friend of mine has been in the business for over 30 years. He has done over 25 jobs for myself personally. He owns don Boyle flooring. Call don and tell him steve sent you. His prices are awesome. (248) 974-0271

We just had a similar amount installed in our old house we're renting to the in laws. We went with a cheaper carpet because they smoke and we'll probably just rip it out when they move and we sell the house. Supposedly we got a better pad, but who knows. We paid just over $1000 and they took the old stuff with them. I'll PM you with who it was since they're not a sponsor.

I think I got his name a while back on this board and had Don do the carpet and vinyl in a house we were selling. I didn't have any complaints with him and he was able to give me an awesome price on a vinyl remnant for that small bathroom. He was also willing to re-use the pad, something other guys didn't want to do.
