Career options....comments/suggestions appreciated

Thanks for the responses again guys.:rockwoot: I talked to my old neighbor which I completely forgot that he was in this field. He said go to a community college and knock out my general education and get some computers classes taken and out of the way. During the summers apply for internships and he said next summer he could get me in with an internship for about 6-12 weeks at his work in Livermore. From there apply at a CSU and grab a Bachelors and further my knowledge while continuing on my resume and I will be on the right track. I was thinking more along the lines of San Jose State but this is all 2-3 years away now. Fuck thinking about all this gives me a damn headache and I'm going to have to work my ass off. I really hope it pays off in the end. :icon_smil

Everything should go smooth I suppose. I'm going to stay up here in Arnold and pay off my 5K I owe to Devry and then I guess move back to oakdale with my mom and go to MJC.

If you go to San Jose state, you will be able to write your own ticket. They are actually in the Silicone Valley, are they not? You should be able to get internships and co-ops with the top IT and .com's in the country down there. Those are good goals.

WhiteHawk, yeah you do have a good point there. I guess we'll just have to see what happens. If this doesn't work out for some reason I would like to pursue something like a Police Officer or FireFighter.
