Carb Rebuild

Who rebuilds carbs? I have a Barry Grant 750 that needs a freshen up. It's about 8 years old, has a small leak between the metering block and gasket, and just seems to be dumping a lot of fuel. I would prefer someone on the eastside if possible.

Thanks,
Steve

Why spend the money. Not much to it..go buy a kit do it yourself..That the wonder of the Holly DP. In about an hour you can do it.

Not much can happen..Some meter bodies have check balls in them, floats have a needle and seat, but hey if you just watch where there are with a lil carb cleaner, tooth brush, dry towels and effort you save couple hundy..

If you never done it before look around and find an old Braswell book on Holleys.

I used to do them at the track on my race car 2 carbs in 15 min. We didnt have time to fuck around between runs..

GL..

It was pretty simple to rebuild my carb but I have a different problem. I snapped a tapping bit into the main body of the carb. I took it to my shop @ work this morning but they said I need a good machine shop to remove it. So my question is any recommendations of a machine shop for removing a broken tapping bit?

Just curious, why did you need to tap anything in the main body? Were you just chasing the threads? Also, did you use any cutting oil?

You are correct. Nope no cutting oil. I need a new main body. Sometimes my
anxiousness to get things done gets the best of me.
