Just out of curiousity and to answer a myth the previous owner of the typhoon removed the a/c, I removed a functioning system from another vehicle to use the evaporator core and compressor I have a new fluid line and condensor, Heres the question the "pressure" line or lines off the compressor are used and the tubes were stored sitting on a shelf with the ends open so moisture and dirt could get in them can i clean them out or should I just replace them? also should I flush the evaporator core out whiole its easy to get to

flush the lines and evaporator, replace the dryer, and make sure it has a good vacuum pulled on it before recharging it

if you need, i can vacuum it and charge it for you once you get it back together

what can I flush the lines with? replace the orofice tube? also can I drive it without a charge? auto zone rents the vac pump so I might try it myself

they sell a/c flush stuff, but brake clean and compressed air works fine

yes, you can drive it, without pressure, the compressor won't come on, so you are good

are you installing a new/used compressor?

I bought a blazer with working perfect a/c to steal the system out of but not thinking the main line off the compressor is different so I have to swap it, the condensor looked like poo so I got a new one, the line from evap core to condensor was 20.00 so I replaced it, Ill grab a new dryer tomorrow and orofice tube also, the old orofice tube was nasty but came out fine how does the new orofice tube install? Just "pop" in? ill flush the main line with brake clean and air tomorrow and swap the dryer the evap core is new but one end was open flush it also as its real clean and has maybe 500 miles on it?? but that orofice tube seems stuck. Thanks for the help

let me clear the evap core up I have one i purchased for the syclone 500 miles or so , and the one from the blazer thats nasty for years of road grime in the heater box, the blazer orofice tube popped out but the syclone one seems stuck and i didnt want to force it, any tricks?
