can stuts go bad from sitting on a car thats not driven?

I found a used set of kyb struts for my Saturn that im considering buying. The guy said that they have less than 20k on them, but were installed on the car while it sat for the past 8 years.

They're cheap so thats the only reason im considering them.

they can, but likely you wont notice til they're on your car. Ive had plenty of sets of GR2's go bad in under a year under normal conditions. I would be weary personally.

im sure they are fine. The wearable parts in a strut arent going to fail from not being used. i.e. the disc valves in side
