Can anyone recommend a decent OBD-II scan tool?

Doesn't matter if it can do ABS or not. Just trying to narrow down my choices to what people have used and think are decent units.

Thanks.

I have a Bluepoint Microscan Pro. It can do foreign and domestic as well as data stream. If you are going for reading codes then pretty much anyone will work. If you want real-time data then it gets to be a little more expensive. Depending on how much you use it, it can be worth it. I paid $100 for mine about 2 years ago. I havent been able to get the Snapon software to work properly on my computer so I cant update the scantool to do any newer vehicles.

What is your main use for it? Home personal clearing DTCs or are you planning on using it as a diagnostic tool to troubleshoot?

I use the Torque app on Android with a cheap bluetooth obd2. Total cost is like $30. $5 for the app and $20-25 for the bt. It does a lot of things store bought scanners don't do.

If it is a new Ford, Focus, Escape and I think, Edge and Fusion as well, Focccus is an application you can download on your laptop that works in conjunction with a ELM adapter. It provides typical scans, logging, live view of streaming data of almost everything within the car and then some.

It would be used for diagnostic purposes, reading codes, troubleshooting etc. I do not need data logging capabilities.

Thanks.
