I am looking to make a set of tow tabs for my 67 Chevelle. I swear I have seen this shape for the material but cant recall what its called and where I saw it. Want to give my chevelle a "day 2" look and these were very popular back in the day. I have attached some pictures any help would be great.34620.jpg34621.jpg34622.jpg65tabinstructions.jpg

My brothers shop can do it if you have dimensions or can take the car there to fit them, Carter’s welding 313 849 1610

Looks like its just some 1/4 plate, you can get the material from the hardware store and make them up pretty easy if you have a decent angle grinder

Been do a lot of research on these thing and learning about the "Day 2" process and found out a lot of guys also made their own tabs. I mocked these up from cardboard to see what I could do. Now I just need some steel and make these happen.

Never worked w/ metal before went to a steel store got some 6"x6"x1/4" steel. cut it in half then shaped the ends on my bench grinder. After that I drilled out the mount hole and tow bar mount hole. Next is paint and install.

Do these fit in a pocket or something? I noticed you only have one mounting bolt and its not in the direction of pull. The bracket could rotate and loosen the bolt if your not careful. I had something similar on a Camaro about 25 years ago, but they mounted to (two) holes on the frame, not just one.

These are just for the look not for function. I'd never flat tow a car like mine. The car is getting the full day2 look on it.
