Calling all performance TRUCK / SUV people in the Mitten!

Hey, just looking to get a roll call of all the fast truck (or SUV) owners here in the Mitten/Motor City!
I'm always rolling around in my truck looking for some other people to line up with, then shoot the shit about it, but it's surprisingly few and far between that you come across a bunch of other quick trucks all together!
I often surprise a few people in other cars and whatnot when we run, but once they get beyond the initial shock factor of a quick truck, most car guys can't relate to modding trucks...

Been slowly meeting some other truck owners just hanging around Woodward and other places, but just wondering if anyone else out there posts up on this forum?

If so, post up what you've got!
I can dig'em all, for the most part, not a brand whore here, so feel free! All makes and models! Put up some pics and description too!

I'll start off, here's a photo of my Silverado:

Just has a junkyard LQ9 with a cam, intake, exhaust, and a few other minor mods, but it's fun!

Nice truck

I need a junkyard LQ9

Thanks.
Yeah just try and find a wrecked, or burned in my case, Escalade! Got my last one for $750 and it had less than 55k mi. on it!
Now I just need to find a low mile 4l80e w/ 4wd output shaft....

Hey I think I recognize your username, were you just asking about the protec bed on ptnet?

Very nice looking truck! I currently have a 2002 Chevy 2500HD diesel. It's far from being fast, but I enjoy it. It didn't make it out this year due to some restoration work (I turned a two week project into a six month nightmare), but it will be out this spring.

Im in your club 1967 F100 satin black lowered 4 inches
coming apart this winter adding a Crown Vic front suspension (like they did on Fast & Loud )
302 roller engine with GTp heads, AOD , and toping it off with the IRS from a T bird this should put the bottom of the doors about 8 to 10 inches off the ground
thinking about adding air bags to really put it in the weeds

I've just got back to working on my 86 GMC Sierra project. It's completely apart right now. Eventually putting a built LS6 in it.
Here it is when I first got it. Originally it had a 305 and 700r4 but when I got it the 305 was done and the trans had a bad pump and front seal.

IRS out back, huh?
I'd definitely do some solid coilovers on all four corners, not bags...

What are your plans for the ls6?
I was scoping out some clean square bodies on craigslist awhile ago. I really like the mid 70s ones... my dad had one I remember fondly.

I have POS Farm truck, but it runs bottom 12'ish.

Nice! The lightning in your sig. I assume? What do you have done to it?

If the weather holds out and dries up we should get a little truck meet up going on!

Yeah, I was just reading about that Cheyenne concept. I love it! Wish I could get some similar wheels to those Z/28's that would fit my truck!
Hopefully atleast most of it makes it to production, but I highly doubt it. Carbon Ceramic brakes... would be awesome, but price would probably be outrageous. Honestly I'd be happy if it were just a RCSB work-truck with the 6.2 in it! I can always do the rest and add the other things I need later. Basically what I did with my current Silverado; tried to make it look like what GM could have done that year with a parts bin sport truck.

Can't say it is too crazy but my Cummins is back on the road. Much more fun with more HP than stock.

Old picture:

More air, More fuel and a built trans

2014 Explorer Sport. Running mid 14's.

nice, have any photos?

Oh man, wonder how much this beauty will cost?

Doubt there's a price. It's just a SEMA proto show truck.

More air, More fuel and a built trans

yep, that's all it takes!
I'm still saving for the built trans part...

Pretty sure we've crossed paths...

oh yeah, haha, seems like you've found me on all the forums recently too!
Any progress?

I have a 2008 Ford 6.4 Diesel that runs out pretty good, many people are pretty surprised by it!! Truck makes about 570 to the tires with about 1100 ft/lb of torque.

Plan is cam, some head work, pistons (thinking 11:1), and 6.0L rods. Might put a 4l80e behind it if I can find one that doesn't cost an arm and leg.

well godamn, I would hope it would move out pretty good with that!!! You've got no reason it shouldn't!

Sounds solid! Why not do forged rods too if you're doing pistons? Better do some Katech rod bolts if you go with OE rods. And Comp rocker Trunnion upgrade. And make sure your cam isn't so big that you need to flycut. If you need a customer spec'ed cam, I'd definitely recommend TJ @ Baker Engineering in Nunica, MI. Solid guy.
I love the sound of higher compression LS's rev'ing out up to 7k, haha.
I'm at about 10.8:1 right now, but with hopes of going to low boost so don't really want it any higher at this point.

2wd 80e's seem to be pretty easy to find for a deal... unfortunately for me, not so easy with the 4wd output shaft.
