Call of duty: Modern Warfare or the new World at War??

One more question. Any other good shooters that have a good multiplayer to? I have been hearing Resistance 2 is one but I have no idea. Only games i play right now is GTA 4 and NBA 2K9.

best bet to find what you like is to rent, I didn't resistance so much but Unchated (tomb raider type game)was a great game. GT5 looks like alot of fun too.

Fallout is a real good game. But for deciding which to choose for online play. I'd without a doubt say COD4, infiniti ward made that one not WaW and IMO the online play is much better as far as graphics, the maps, weapons etc... WaW might be worth the buy though because they're releasing a Modern Warfare 2 in the fall.

Rent one, then the other afterwards. See which you like better. WaW is a little tougher and I want to buy it but funds are tight. I play COD4 a lot online.

Single player, I like WaW because it seemed longer to me.

People are gonna say COD4 is better because Infinity Ward made it, and Treyarch made COD3 and WaW. COD3 sucked so there will be haters that don't like Treyarch's games.

Ill second that WaW is a much more difficult style of play. I got to the tenth prestige on COD4 and then went and rented WaW and basically got bent over and sent home crying man i couldnt play that game to save my life. it takes a lot of getting used to with the weapons change and play type from 4 to 5. Not a bad game at all though.

Does it have a good multiplayer as well though? What kind of game is it? It popped up in my search. Dont know much about it.

I haven't seen multi player for it, it's an RPG of sorts where you make choices that have an affect on the game.

I have played all the COD games from 2 thru 5. The IW and Treyarch games have slightly different "feel" to them, but they all kick ass. I liked 4 for the simple fact it had all the cool modern weapons, but the multiplayer got a little redundant with the maps. WaW has a much better selection of multiplayer maps, and the weapons are still decent, you just need to adjust to using iron sights instead of red-dot sights. The single player campaign in 5 had a decent length to it, I thought 4 was a bit quick.

i'm the other way around. i seem to do pretty well at WaW and terrrible at COD4.

COD4 was a better experience, IMO. I played through COD5 twice and thought it was fun, but I really enjoyed the experience of COD4...I think the story was told much better and the environments/situations were designed much better.

But you can probably find used copies of both at GameStop or something, and get both for the price of one new disk.

I just beat world at war last night . . . and the ending got pretty intense. Other than that, it seemed very easy to me. However I do like the game, but my vote would have to go to Modern Warfare before world at war.

I really wish that the final mission in WAW would have been on the Enola Gay dropping the bomb. Yes, it may have offended people...but lots of things in that game may have. I think the entire Japanese campaign fell flat because it didn't have a real conclusion. Allowing the player to drop the bomb and end the war would have put a period on that campaign in the same way that storming Berlin and planting the flag atop the Reichstag concluded the Russian campaign.

i went to game stop, COD4 new was 50, and used was 45.

i have COD4 for my 360 i got about a month ago, the campaign seemed very short, but online is a lot of fun, its the only COD game ive played.

my one buddy said on WaW the maps are a lot different for online, so people cant camp out everywhere
