Cadillac Sixteen starting up/rolling away

I usually don't post videos of cars just starting up, idling, and rolling away. Pretty boring, right? But I had to make an exception for this car, the 1,000 horsepower Cadillac Sixteen concept, a one off concept car that you just don't get to see like this. This car has a legitimate V16 engine, not two V8s bolted together. It produces 1,000 horsepower and 1,000 lbs ft of torque without the use of forced induction.

I appreciate the v16 1000 HP....although a LITTLE (lot) unnecessary....That car is UUGGLLLYY......I know there will be mixed opinions....But that car IMO is a huge eye sore!!

Yeah, but it introduced that style of headlight and front grill, which became a standard feature on Cadillacs in the last 5 years. In that sense, it did its job. A concept is supposed to be outrageous to get a lot of attention while sneakily probing for feedback on certain design elements the company wants to incorporate later on.

I think the looks of the car is sexy. Giving that it has long engine the front of the car would look wrong if the rest of the car was not stretched to match.

That car is a few years old. I think I remember seeing it at the Detroit auto show years ago.

the motor was built by Katech, its basically an LS that was stretched to twice its length

That's sort of how people made 4-rotor engines...took 2 12a (2-rotor NA engines from the FB or FC Rx7) and bolted them together using a custom e-shaft.
