C4 trans problems again LOL

Got a built c4 with a Trans king brake. I start the car in park and put it in first gear nothing at all, car will not move :shake: Throw it in reverse and hit the T/brake button and it goes into reverse fine. Now I start the car in first gear and it moves and shifts into every gear? I am stumped..

Its not the cable, I had the car on the jack stands and actually put the trans in first gear and dropped it down off the stands while my buddy was in the drives seat and it would not move once on the ground, but when I shut it off and then started it in first, it moved and worked in all gears ( he drove it around).

I can put it in reverse and hold the T/brake and it works fine but when I shift into first it will not move, it acts like the Brake is stuck on? Now I can leave the trans in first and start the car and it will work fine.

was it a "fresh" trans? if so(and im not familure with a transking v body for a c-4) maybe someone used wheel bearing grease to hold a ck ball in place, and it took a while to melt the grease out of place?
 
I had a similar problem with a Valvebody for a AOD. Turned out the valvebody was just flat out screwed up. Had huge internal cross leaks and some jammed up shift valves.
