C4 problems

I just put in a new converter, hardened input shaft, and SFI bellhousing. I took it out for a test drive and it seemed fine. I let it cool for a while and was going to go for another test but the car wouldn't move. It felt like I had the e-brake on and was dragging. My question is can a misalign shifter cable cause this? I'm wonder if it's in 1st and was putting pressure on 2nd gear would it do this. Any other suggestions?

BTW it's a reverse manual

If you are from Belleville, and you can get the car to move drive it to Accurate Transmission on Huron River drive. They will be able to help you with it. That or you could call them and ask for Lou, he can answer any questions you have about it.

X2! Lou is an awesome guy and very honest. Plus Fords is his specialty. Give him a shout---you won't be disappointed.

Tell him Shawn P (Tall bastard) said hi. I haven't seen him in like 4 years. Keep us posted.

Will do. I have a feeling I drop some parts when I put the new bell housing on. I didn't know you should have the tranny up right and the pump might have moved slightly.

to rule out the cable you could unhook it and set it in drive with your hand then start the car in gear and drive it around to see if the draging went away.

Couple other things I allways double check,

is the input shaft in the right way.
End play to make sure it doesnt need shims between the convertor and flex plate.
Trans lines and cooler for blockages.. (I use a marine bildge pump and pump clean trans fluid thru the lines and cooler into a bucket to make sure they flow ok and theres nothing in them.

I disconnected the cable and had the same result.

I'm not sure about the input shaft. How would you know?

The trans is at Accurate now so I'll find out what it was shortly. I think some parts fell out when I was putting on the bellhousing.
