Whats the difference in front pumps from the early years to mid-late 70s. I see performance automatic only lists one part#. I have a case fill & just wanna make sure Im looking at the correct ones.

The pump bodies and gears are pretty interchangeable. The stator supports are different.
1964 pumps used a oring.
64-69 have small dia sealing rings on the stator
70-81? have the same sealing rings, somewhere along the line they used wider input drum rings
82-up use wide stator rings.
P/A parts are going to be expensive/and not necessary

Yep. Put a stock pump in it and be done. I think PA's pump is over 140 bucks. We did this to a PA trans (based on an unofficial recommendation from a PA guy) and it's been fine. Unless it's a max effort 1000HP thing i don't see the reason for a PA pump.

Thanks guys, But I think its got bigger problems then the pump now.
