There hasn't been, in your case, a decent reason to go in the last thirteen years and there's not one now.
 
The only thing I'll miss is the February Mopar swap meet that was held there every year. I hear it's going to be leveled by UPS and a new distribution hub built. No idea how accurate that is however.

The site where the Taylor one was is going to be a Menard's and some sort of strip mall, probably packed witht he usual Star Bucks and Pantera Bread.
 
They've already tore up the concrete that was there, I think actual construction is going to start soon.

That makes sense. With the growing populations of Macomb and Chesterfield, it would be good to have a hub there. The only one we have in the area is in Madison Heights.
