Burnin oil

have a factory ls1 just put in my 92 and it's burning oil rather badly. car is smoking pretty good. engine is suppose to be low mileage and looks like it but its been sitting for awhile.

any additive i can put into the oil to possibly help this motor? parts store says seafoam but online research that doesn't look so smart.

any advice?
 
GM top end engine cleaner. Follow directions. If it sat for a while it could have gummed up the rings. Is it smoking on decel or on accel or just all the time ?
