Dont know how many of you read my post earlier this week about my debit card number being stolen and used for like $1000 in Video games. Anyways recieved an Email from them today saying they have had numberous complaints about card theft after recent orders. Guess thats how they got my card number since I purchesed a gun from them not even two weeks ago.

So my question is would you ever trust a retailer again if this happened? I dont think ill ever make another purchase through them. Though I do appreciate them e-mailing me notified me that they were possibly the source of the theft.

Note with my info, but if they provide worth while products I'll find another way to make the transaction.

Question:
Was this order you made done through the phone or internet using your PC?

Stuff like this is why I use paypal whenever possible. I don't want to use my credit card numbers whenever I don't have to.

You'll be better off using your CC instead of paypal, paypal isnt really good for crap other than ebay. You can dispute a charge on your CC, paypal is not really the same.

most cc companies now offer 'one use' numbers. You go on their site, get one, including the cvn, and use that online for purchases.

And, just fyi, I have purchased quite a few things from buds over the last couple years, never an issue.

I'd guess that its not someone selling the CC's from buds, but some kind of sniffer / spyware / etc on your computer / network / ISP that got you.

Well using paypal you don't need to share cc numbers when paying for stuff with every single site. And I fund my paypal account using a credit card anyway so I could probably still file a clam through the cc company.

Maybe buds website security was breached?

Yes it wasnt my computer. Buds website somehow was breached. If multiple people using buds site at one time have there numbers stolen im pretty sure its on there end not mine.
