Who wants to spam a spammer?

So I received a phone call last night that showed up as a restricted number and one of my co-workers has been receiving them too, so I answered so I could mess with them :) She told me she was Ms. Jacobs and she was looking for a Mr. Dean, I explained she had the wrong number and then she asked me for my number to take my name off the list or to see if I had any collections for myself. I explain she had called me so she had my number and not call me. Then she proceeds to tell me that I can settled my old debt right now over the phone by using my debit or credit card right now over the phone. However she wouldn't tell me what the debt was for and she refused to send me the information in writing. (right there I know it is a spammer) So I asked her for my case number so I can review it with my laywer and the number to contact her back on, so she gave me the case number and the number to call her back on. I hang up and block my number and call back. A woman with the same voice who answered the phone this time says that Ms. Jacobs had left the office about 10 mins ago, I told this woman she was lying to me since I just got done talking to Ms. Jacobs less then 30 secs ago and that she needed to get off her lazy @ss and get her. She swears to me that Ms. Jacobs is gone, I threaten to report her company to the BBB and she hangs up on me. I know of a few people just in my area who has gotten calls from this BS collections agency so if you are bored and want to terrorize some criminals please do.

Block your number and call 855-377-6771 and ask for Ms. Jacobs or case #2036345 If she asks who it is just say Mr. Dean. For some reason they think I am Mr. Thomas Dean but I told them from the start they had the wrong number.

Happy Spamming!

As a side note for anyone with an android phone, i use the app trapcall for$5 a month and it unmasks blocked numbers. Well worth the cost if you have someone who is bugging you but you cant prove it because they are blocking their number.

This in combo with mr. Number has cut the number of spam calls i receive down to nothiing.

If it's an 855 or 800 # you can block caller id but they still can identify your number. There's no way to really block when calling 800 or 855 #'s because it's a toll free number and they're paying for incoming calls and have right to identification.

That is good to know, I normally have my phone set to private so if the number isn't stored in my contacts it won't even ring it just goes straight to my voicemail but I am still trying to get my house fixed from last winter and my insurnace company and mortgage company have two different ideas on how it should be settled so I am constantly getting calls from numbers I don't have saved and now I have 6-8" of snow on the ground and we are supposed to see anouther 8" by Tuesday and still no action on my house. Mortgage company is holding my insurance money in escrow and are playing dumb on what needs to be done. Contractor has accepted has submitted the accepted bid to complete the work for what the insurance company said it would cost to fix/repair/replace so we are waiting for the first draw so they can get started. I filed my insurance claim in April lol but that is a whole other story lol

I swept the ac cover off yesterday so that us how much snow we got just in the last 8 hours.

No merging, more like an off topic take over lol. I got side tracked by the weather and getting my house repaired and the weather keeps dumping more snow on us lol

Sorry to hear about your home....that stinks.

On a positive note, is it time for Boyne Thunder yet?? See you in 8 months!

Thanks Keith, it has been a struggle and I got sick of waiting and started removing things that are in the way, like old flooring and cabinets. I have found more issues that previous owners just covered up or put temporary fixes on. The kids have a snow day today so I doubt much work will get done lol

I got two phone calls last night at 2 AM and on my phone it said this was the number>01881781677286
When I answered it on the second call there was no on at the other end.
I hit redial and get a recording telling me it is a restricted number. I have since blocked the number but I was so tired because the night before I was at the hospital with my Mom pretty late and was looking forward to a good night sleep. How can I trace this and why did it have some many numbers?

Careful on calling back when the number shows up. Just last summer there was a scam going around like this, there would be no one on the other end. If you called the number back you got charged a crazy amount.
