So my Dad's friend had his 2004 VW Touareg towed into the dealership.

Problem = It wouldn't start.

Look what the hell they found inside! lololol!
Someone has to know what this is!?!

Price charged by dealer to tear down the motor, clean it up, and put it back together =

Dealership scam? If they were the ones "changing the oil" (which obviously they weren't), maybe their goal was to let it die and then charge ridiculous money to get it running again?

My first guess was going to be one of the Toyota/Lexus engines with the sludging issue then I saw the make/model. WOW

the grand cherokee v-8 had the same problem. The wife had the oil changed every 3,000 miles. Problem was the 1/8" i.d. PCV hose that got clogged up. Slugged the whole engine up at 60k
