Yeah, the cap, coil, wires, plugs, rotor, and tfi were all replaced.
does it ever fail to start? if so and you have to bump the timing to get it to fire its either the tfi mod or possibly ecu....

It failed to start once, like a month before I replaced the TFI. After that, is when it would break up when it warmed up.
The car ran fine post tune up, then a day or so later it started breaking up at 3500 under load. I'm leaning towards the fuel pump taking a slow death since, it did start getting louder a while back.

Guess Ill order another TFI along with a new fuel pump and regulator.
verry good advice. i would test the fp and fpr b4 replacing them. normally (and i stress norm.) fuel pumps dont die slow... they tend to take a shit. mechanical pumps on the other hand may die slowly if the diaphram has a small leak. i would check your fuel psi and go from there. if its good try the tfi mod. it sounds like a timing issue (ie not advancing when it should) this is why im leaning heavily toward the tfi/ecu. those should be the only major contributors in timing if i remember correctly.

I had a 86 country squire 5.0-woody- that would do the same thing, it was the fuel pump!!

I figured it out, I have to thank Summit/Accel for NOT putting in any information about the TFI based on the trans you have. I gotta order another one.
