Breaking up

So, the car(craptastic 5.0) was breaking up when it was warm. I replaced the plugs, wires, cap/rotor, coil, and the TFI. Now, it breaks up at 3500rpm regardless of temp.

This is annoying me like no other right now. Who, has some ideas.

It didnt break up before? Chances are you have something loose. Check your cap/rotor/coil wire etc. Also check your grounds.

It broke up when warm before. The TFI was on its way out, some times it just wouldn't start at all.

No raw fuel can be smelled, and it only breaks up under load.

I would do as stated above, cheeck grounds and recheck your ingition. also i would get a fuel pressure gauge, there should be a port right in the fuel rail on the 5.0 for that gauge.....if that is ok then you may have an injector that is not spraying evenly, try running some injector cleaner through the tank.

I may have an extra fuel pressure gauge laying around, as im sure many members here do you could borrow for your testing.

didnt know it was turbo. i was gonna say fuck the efi just throw a carb on it but I guess the turbo kinda puts a wrench in that one

Make sure the plug wires are on tight. Also tap on the Maf with the car running with the palm of your hand and see if it stumbles. If it does Houston we have a problem.

I took care of the stupid long boots, none of them were really in contact with the plugs. I know that's not the problem, and there is no MAF, its still a speed density car.

This snow is really making lose motivation to go out side and check out the car.

I just went out and checked things out. All connections are good, grounds, plug wires, other wires such as coil, fuel pump etc.

It does break up when not under load, just higher up in the rpms.
