Breaking News Vikings/Giants at Ford Field

what a fucking joke, the "thugs" were cutting in line up neat the front, jumping from ticket window to ticket window grabing as many tickets as they could then they would walk to the back and try to sell them
Exactly what I suspected would happen.
they should of took advantage of this situation and had like a toy drive, bring a toy for toys for tots and get free tickets.....
Excellent idea. That or charged $5 per ticket (which would have gotten rid of many of the ghetto rats) and then donated the proceeds.

The original rumor was that tickets would be $5 if you didn't have one from the Lions/Packers game. I like the other ideas. I have a feeling nuthouse barely begins to describe Ford Field tonight.

I was down there tonight. What a waste. Horribly ghetto, people were taking up more seats than they needed, and the club level seats below the suites (that weren't being used) were blocked off. They really should have had some requirement for those showing up to keep the riff-raff out.

Anyone else catch that Ryan Armani (sp?) reporter from Fox 2 try to call out the hoodrats who were scalping the tickets down there outsode the stadium ? LOL I think the toy-drive idea would have been a very good solution...hindsight being 20/20.

It wasn't that bad, we didn't make any effort to get great seats, we just went and sat where we saw lots of open seats rather than fighting through a huge crowd. It was enjoyable, glad we went. Can't beat the price for the entertainment and as a result of just going and getting upper level seats we found a decent sandwich shop in the stadium that while it wasn't cheap, it was a good deli quality sandwich that was big enough we didn't feel we got raped. So that was a bonus. Cheap night of entertainment. No encounters with ghetto trash, it was pretty cool Weird football game atmosphere though. One section got a Let's go Lions chant going. At one point they put the "Quiet Offense at Work" sign up for the Vikings, that didn't go well, it only made it louder  There was a killer wave that made a solid 4 consecutive laps around the stadium. The only better wave I've witnessed was on TV during a NASCAR Bristol rain delay. It was going so good the announcers started clocking lap times.

I found a great place to park Sunday too and we used that again. It's really only good if you leave after the game as it closes shortly after the game ends but it is at Adams and Woodward and only $15. You can park farther away and be paying 30 still. Pretty short walk for the price.

Have they mentioned at all how they will handle it ticket wise? I guess ti is easy to have it in Detroit since the Lions are away and the Vikings logos are already on the field. They already have all the stadium sounds, animations, graphics, etc. now. They should make it so if you have tickets to the Lions - Vikings game on Jan 2 you get in free  That's the only way that game sells out unless maybe Favre is back and the whole potential last game factor of that.

They had a version of that article on ESPN. TCF was winterized and they'll have to run the water and clear the field which is a 4 to 5 day job. The no beer thing can be worked around with cans/bottles being shipped in. It's no beer for Gopher games, not every event. I can't see the roof being done by Monday night.

And the Vikings played outside from 1961-1980. I'm sure the fans can suck it up.

I'm not sure, but I don't think the Metrodome seats 80K. I thought it was 68K or so. Probably a general admission with your season ticket. I'm sure at least 13K or so would stay home...
