Brake line coatings?

About a month ago, I had to replumb a brake line on my friends 96 tahoe truck. It was the line that went from the ABS box(?) to the passenger front wheel. I used the standard stuff found at the auto parts store. Realizing now, it will probably rust out in a couple of years Since alot of it is fairly exposed to the elements.

Is there anything I can spray on it, after the fact, to inhibit rust and corrosion? There are a couple of unions as well in the run. Also I do have decent access to top and bottom of the lines to spray.

Thanks.

If it's anything like the stuff at my work, it will be the Poly Armor stuff. It's suppose to last a lot longer than just steel line, I don't know if it's true or not. maybe spray some lith grease on it.

Is Poly Armor a type of brake line itself, or is that a type of coating?

Paint wont do anything to inhibit rust on the line. I've done it on a dozen different vehicles and in two winters the rust is just as bad if not worse. Get coated or SS lines if you can. I'll look for the company out of NY that makes prebent SS lines for GM and other trucks. Just bought some for pops GMC.
