braided fuel hose and fitting ?s

i need to get my fuel system going to finish my monte. i never delt with braided fuel lines before and have a few ?s

i have a 140gph pump thats going to be feeding my 383 i was wonder what would be the better size -6 or -8an or does it not realy matter?

also how does the female fitting connect to the braided hose itself?

i was planing some of it out and figured it like this

fuel cell, -8an 90 deg. female, -8an hose, straight -8an female fitting, -8/ to 3/8 adapter fitting, can filter, 3/8 to -6an male adapter , -6an female, -6an hose, -6an female, -6an to 3/8 male adapter, pump, 3/8 to -6 male adapter, -6an female, -6an hose, -6an 90 deg female, -6an to 3/8 male adapter, psi regulator, 3/8 to -6an adapter, -6an 90 deg female, -6an hose, -6an 45 deg female, -6an to 3/8 male adapter, dual fead line to carb

would that sound about right? sorry if it hard to read follow

i just want to make sure i have a nice plan and list of parts before i order every thing
 
Go with a -8 feed line. Had that on mine and just upgraded to -10 line. Make sure you get some good cutters-it's a pain in the ass to work with otherwise. :lol:
