so i have a 10 lb bottle running a 50 shot on my 99 regal. just hooked it up this week. first i didnt have the proper jets, so i just hooked it all up with a full bottle (got it filled at street legal, they said it was 10lbs exactly and 1000psi)
so, the kit i got on craigslist had a purge solenoid off of the super pro shot solenoid. once it was all hooked up, i tested everything out and purged a few times to make sure everything was working. yeah i purged a couple times to show my friends, and it looked cool, call me a ricer but it was funny on a 4 door family sedan lol.
got the right jets (.035 n2o and .018 fuel) running on my fogger nozzle. sprayed once or twice on the highway, just through 2nd gear and into 3rd, maybe 2-3 pulls to scan everything and make sure it was legit, and when i got back, just for fun, purged, and it was clear
i can still spray, and itll pick up a little bit, but my clear purge tells me that im not spraying liquid nitrous anymore, and im just spraying gas
i dont care about the purge really, but now that the bottle i pulled out of the car (after a few more pulls with the nitrous the next night) i really feel like the bottle is empty of liquid nitrous, but it just still has some pressure in it.
thing that concerns me is that it was this way after my first 2 or so pulls
so whats up? why is the bottle empty so soon? something i did wrong? does a few scarce purges really spend a whole bottle in a matter of days? i thought with a 50 shot a 10lb would last me a few weeks of intermittant use on the street.
bottle heater? i dont have a pressure gauge yet (yeah, i know...) but im trying to figure out if it sounds like my bottle is spent already, or what, and why so fast? i sprayed like 2 times before my purge was clear, and when i turned the bottle off and purged the leftover nitrous out of the mainline, it didnt take NEARLY as long to drain
know its a long detailed dissertation, but id really appreciate the help
thanks!
