My buddy has a 96 GT with a 4.6 SOHC non-pi motor. We were doing some work to it a few months ago, and some bolts broke. Now that the nice weather is back, and hopefully to stay, we are hoping to finish the job. First off, the t-stat housing gasket failed, and when removing the bolts, 1 snapped. I plan to drill, tap and helicoil it for him, but I need to know the thread size to get the proper drill/tap/helicoil.
The other bolt, is an alternator bolt. There is the 2 ears, then there is a little buldge where I believe a bracket bolts to. The bolt that went was cross threaded, and all threads are damaged. I was wondering if anyone knew the thread size for that bolt also, along with the length.
