Who needs a welder?

Obviously I'll be fixing it the right way..but holy crap. About 250 pop rivets per exterior pillar.Inner "plate" riveted over the gap, with a BIG sheet riveted over that. No welds, anywhere. And about 3/4" of mud. Scary crap. Inside, same story. Just a plate riveted over the 3/4"+ gap between the 'replacement' roof and chassis. Scary.

That's the b-pillar. They tried to reskin (replace) the roof. Sectioning (replacing) a roof is not something just anybody should do. This is why.

They had no welds holding their replacement roof structure on @ the b pillar and only half assed brazed the outer skin on the A pillar. The a pillar was brazed on, with more steel strap screwed into the inner pillar for "strength" would be my guess. . Frankly, quite frightening.
 
Outstanding work and craftsmanship. I can only hope to have such a person work on my car one day.
Looks about as safe as going hunting with Dick Cheney
