I hand washed it, clay barred the entire truck then use used NXT liquid to wax it. It left like an oily film on the truck even after wiping it down with fresh towels.
Then I put a coat of McGuires Carnuba wax on the truck. same results

what can I use to wax it that will not leave this film. It looks great, until its out in the sun, then you can see the oily film left be the waxes.

Wondering if it's something on the towels. These your towels that you washed? New from the store?
 
The towels used to remove the wax were new from the store, from a mcguires "car wash" kit i got for Christmas.

Normally, this film would not appear on any other color, but black.

It's not really a film, more like the car was sprayed with WD-40 and wiped off, leaving a little bit behind.

I didn't notice it until I pulled in the driveway last night and my headlights shined on the tailgate, then in the direct light it was very obvious.
under the lights in the garage, you cannot tell.
 
After you wax the car spray it down with a hose and dry off with a clean soft towel. It should remove the residue left over from the wax.
 
Try to find a silicon free "quick detailer" or spray wax, use one light spray on a panel. Fold your rag in 1/4s spray your product sparingly in the area use one side to buff the majority of the product in, then use the opposite side to buff off any excess that could be left over. To me it sounds like the NXT has a lot of silicone, and or polishing oils in it for added shine/WOW factor and you just used a little to much, and while it looked like you got it all off their was still remnants of the liquid wax and that combined with the paste wax and its ingredients didn't allow the paste wax to cure properly, giving the highs and lows instead on the even deep gloss. Hard to say for sure what it is or why its like that without actually seeing the vehicle and products used in person though.

In my experience, I could not get the results I wanted with NXT, so I only used it for white or grey. For my black cars I have found the best over-the-counter quick wax spray to be from Meguires...

9 times out of 10 I can get the paint perfect with just a clean microfiber cloth, for the other 10% of the time I clean up with a detail spray.

Yes sir, and keep in mind a little goes a long way. Also make sure your not getting tire dressing or trim restorer anything like that on your microfibers. The chemicals in those will cause the streaking like that also.
