Black Cobra Turbine Wheels

Well, I've had these on for over a month and finally am posting some pics. I've been a fan of the Cobra Turbine wheel for years and always wanted a set. I wanted originals but finally settled on cheap repops for my 4-lug set-up.
This black with silver center cover look reminds me of the old State Police painted 10-hole set-up, which I have always dug.
These have a machined rim which helps show off it's 17" diameter. The rear tires are little 245/45-17 Hoosiers which are 26" tall. Yes, they are sticky! I hope to get it to the track for some 60 ft times.

Those wheels on that vehicle are banjo tight. I approve.

Thanks guys. LOL I think this is finally "the look" for this car. I had my doubts but ones they were on is was all good. I'll be happy with this for a long time.

UPDATE!

I had the chance to take the coupe up to Northern Michigan Dragway in Kaleva (a tick south west of Traverse City). First time there and a very nice little 1/8 mile track. It was great to get down the track again. Been too long! I made 5 passes, each one dialing in these little Hoosier DR's a bit more. Got it down to a 7.17 @ 98 with a 1.66 60 ft with more left. After getting them warmed up good they were really starting to grab. I think a 1.5X is in there hitting it harder. This is a little 245/45-17! Overall a great time. I have the race bug again! LOL

The wheels look AMAZING! I've never really been a huge fan of them, but you changed that. Great idea of keeping the wheel lip machined. It does make the wheel have some size. If it were all Black it would blend into the tire.

I love when you give us a sneak peak of your collection. The Orange car is still my fav.
