This. While I haven't torrented in quite a few years, VPN service necessary if you like to use the honeypot public sites. I've been using Usenet myself, runs me about $40 per year through News Group Ninja and I have a 1TB block account through Eweka (Netherlands site, non-DMCA compliant) that runs as a backup in case bits of files are DMCAed on the servers of my main provider.
