birthday ideas for my mom?

I was thinking of doing something exceptable like dinner and a movie but now Im thinking of a whole day event downtown? Any ideas? She doesnt like the casino. Anybody know of anything going on like a show/performance/play? This coming saturday? The 14th i think?

True. Check and see what's at Comedy Castle in Royal Oak. I know theres another one around too...maybe in Novi?

oh totally. i almost went with that route, but you can only be an asshole so many days off the week. even on the 7th day, god rested...

Get a favorite picture of her from the past (maybe an old family photo from when sha was a little girl:dontknow: ) and have it blown up or theres a service wh used on line that will put it on canvas for you. (just did it for the parrents 40th annversary)
 
also, if you can cook, cook her a really good meal. i can cook my ass off, and its one of my favorite ways to give a gift to someone.

It's my moms bday this weekend, too. I am burning her a CD of music I think she ought to listen to :laugh: I'm also flying home to spend time with her, which she is looking forward to :)
 
Well i bought tickets to see Frankenstein this Sat at Meadowbrook theatre. Not sure if thats the best idea but i think she'll like it. Its @ 8pm. Any ideas for a dinner?
