BIG problem with Canton pan and Clutch cable!!!! NOW W/PIC"S

I just dropped my new 331 with canton pan in my 94 and have a BIG problem!!! I went run my clutch cable through the bell housing and I can't get the cable in the hole because of the canton pan!!! Anyone have any idea on what to do???

Can I just round out the hole in the bellhousing to get it to fit without any negative effects??? Please if anyone has any ideas let me know!! Thanks in advance, Jason D.

My suggestion would be an impact socket and a hammer. Mark where the cable crosses the pan, put the socket flat on the pan and have at it. Either that or the pan will need to come off and be notched. I'd try the hammer method first. :)

Well everything came out of the car yesterday and I pulled the pan. I was gettting ready to drop off the pan today to have it notched, and I ot a call back from Canton, They might be taking care of it for me. I will find out as soon as he calls me back in the next hour.

Well just to let you guys know I had the pan notched and everything is back in the car. Now I need to order a few more things and the car should be running again!!!
