Funny how they compared the base model Mustang GT to the top of the line SS and SRT-8. The test would have went even worse for Dodge and Chevy if they had a base model Camaro or Challenger in the test.

If Dodge could design a car that didn't weight 3 tons it would kick ass. I agree that it's sad that GM and Dodge had to bring out the top of their line to compete with the Mustang and I'm a Dodge guy. I still think the Challenger outlooks them all though
 
big suprise been trying to tell my catfish owning buddies that this was going to happen... and for all the camaro fans who will say "what for the z28" ... whats the point it will just be beat by the gt500 then

But what about when the new camaro came out and its v6 motor whooped up on the 4.6l v8 mustang gt's? Now Ford is catching back up, thats all they are doing. Im sure chevy and dodge will up their hp now or change something on their cars. Same game of cat and mouse has been going on since forever.

Something tell me that the "brembo package" isint on the base model GT. And yes SS is the top of the line camaro... Buuuut its the only v8 camaro so I would think that would have to be compared to a GT?

Base model??? Want to compare a GT500 to SS and a SRT-8??
 
itll be intresting to see what happens when they have to put another 300lbs in the mustang for new air bag regulations,
 
When there is only one model of the v-8, wouldnt that be the BASE model? Thats a tough one to figure out.
 
Ford > Chevy !!!!

The new V6 Mustang prol would of given the SS a run for its money.They make great power for a V6, and would handle identical to the V8 ,besides the weight.

WOW!! Watch the video... How is it, after all the years since dukes of hazzard, dodge was still able to repeat that same general lee rasp!!!?? Although, I suppose they never quit because they have been successful on their pickup trucks including "pre-dual tipping" the exhaust RIGHT FROM THE FACTORY!! NO NEED to go to mr. muffler anymore! Except to add those BIGGER chrome tip of coarse....

I DO think the dodge is the toughest looker though.

OK...so the camaro looks cool....until u see the back....WTF!!?? Trying to look like some twisted zr1??

And did u see the interior? A friend let me drive her M plated one... WTF did they do inside?
TERRIBLE dash bay FAR. I think the ford has the coolest interior followed close by the dodge.

As for the new ford look.....I LOVE the mustang but come on...WTF did they have to give it a squished FISH look!!! lol... Anybody remember the old piranha mustang kit some guy tried to do? ... HOW did HE get on headlight the design board!!!!???!!!

The dude was from here in mi. ...He tried a last ditch effort to save the deal by having lidio come up with a engine package!!!!! OMG thats ill!
