Bicycle Ride

Those 30 plus mile rides are impressive.

I was on vacation last week and got some riding in. The longest ride was 8 miles, with my daughter in the cart behind me. Plenty of elevation too. We had a lot going on, so I didn’t get enough time to ride to Charlevoix from Petoskey like I wanted. But that’s ok.

Part of the trail pictured above has fallen into Lake Michigan. What a shame, that was one of the nicest trails I've even been on.

^^^ Ouch! what a loss!

I need to find some trails around here to ride.

Do you have your bike ready to ride?

It’s still in my basement. No time to ride yet, but looking forward to it. You have done a lot so far this year.

I've been riding a lot lately, so much that I'm thinking of upgrading to a better bike. Any online/MI stores you guys suggest?

Get it out of the basement (unless you have it set up on a trainer)!

Sent you a PM.

The 3 of us need to go for a ride soon, where ya want to meet?

Tree Fort Bikes in Ypsi and Wheels in Motion in Ann Arbor are good shops. Heard good things about Aberdeen in Chelsea. Also, Motor City Bicycle (Fraser Bicycle) in Canton had been recommended before too. I think a member here has family that owns it? Can’t remember who. I could be wrong on that.

Edit: I did a search and it was member “F-crazy”, and his dad owns International Bike Shop in Garden City.

I’d be about 2 miles behind you . When this covid stuff is over and my wife and I aren’t on opposite schedules due to childcare issues, I’d like to ride. A coworker rides a lot, I’ll see if he has recommendations. He did a 100 mile ride last summer.

Good stuff buddy!

I hope to do a century (100 mile) ride this year.
I believe I can, I just have to find the time & do it!

A guy I know on the west side of Michigan is on
track to get his 10,000 miles in this year!

Be careful in this heat. I'd imagine multiple bottles of water would be necessary.

My bike is STILL in the basement. Just haven't had the time to ride yet.

Ok, lets take this one step at a time....

Lets move the bike out of the basement & into the garage.

Lets look at the bike as we travel through the garage for a few days.

Lets kick the tires, air them up & mentally prepare ourselves.

Lets take that bad-boy out for a spin, feel the fresh air and remember
how much fun it was when you were a kid.....and now, big kid!
