Best Speed/Tuner Shops?

My car was completed just this last year. I have a new cam I'm planning to install this spring and need to get the car tuned. It has a SCT Eliminator chip now with a base tune but needs to be fully dynoed and dialed in so I wanted to see where you guys recommend going, Pro's and Con's on local shops please!

Where is the best shop around Livernois Motorsports, Alternative Auto Performance, Walsh Motorsports, Pauls High Performance, any other recommendations???

I've been an Alternative Auto fan for years. They have done multiple cars for me. Lidio loves that tuning stuff and will give you something very streetable and not on the ragged edge. That's my personal experience.

I think your turbo Mustang is a good candidate.

.....you will have to travel but imo he is the go to guy

Yeah I've followed Bob over the years in the Mag's and know he's a very good tuner. I've emailed him in the past would like to stay local just for the sake of future issues, builds and tuning but I'm open to getting it right the first time and having the car survive so if out of state is the way to go might have to consider. Thanks for suggesting

Yep that's who I'm leaning towards. I've talked with lidio already a few months back. I was going to hit him before the winter but he was pretty booked up so figured we would get somthing going after the MI snows gone. I do like his tuning and tunes on the safe side rather then max power. I want to enjoy the car for street use and car shows, cruise nights. Maybe a little track use but a safe street tune is what I'm looking for. Plus Lidio deals only with SCT chips for which I already have so that helps. I did take the car out to him to get an idea and he liked it.

If he likes your car already then that's a good sign as he'll feel more confident in what he adds to it. Any legit tuner might be cautious of any pre-assembled car not knowing the integrity of the parts or the build. I'm sure they get some real hairballs now and then.

I drive my stuff regularly on the street and go to the track when I can. My stuff has been reliable and pretty long lasting really. I'm a fan.

Great, thanks for the insight. Glad you've been happy and they have done you well. Funny how you stated "it's good that liked it so far" because over the phone he was very cautious about wanting to even deal with a car someone else built due to parts and skills like you mentioned. Once he looked it over and we went over what was done to it he was pretty cool with it. He's more then open to installing the new cam and tuning it.
