Hey all,

this is my first thread on this forum. I have an 02 Mustang GT, have had it for 5 or 6 years now. Some of my mods to this point include VT stage II NA cams, 4.10 gear, SLP catted X, SLP LM:

just wanted to know where is the best place to buy parts from. I have really been juggling the idea of putting on some long tube headers....and figured an easy way to do that would be to take the cylinder heads off....(obviously not the typical way to do it), BUT, would allow me to put some better flowing cylinder heads on the beast.

Do y'all know of a good manufacturer of cylinder heads, or a good place to buy mustang parts?

Verrry nice! ALL the sponsors on this site can and will hook you up.
Look for some "Cruise nights" at the Sonic on Fort St. once the weather gets right.

Welcome, nice car. The only aftermarket 2v head as far as I know are made by trick flow. And they run around 2k everywhere I've seen.

i've seen patriot performance on americanmuscle.com - just dont know the reputation of the company and their products. They want $1,300 for the patriot performance heads

I know trick flow has a pretty good reputation, so maybe i'll look into that a little more. I read up on it a little bit and i thought i read something like they moved the intake valve to the other side or something??? i dont know...

Ouch 2k? Nice car btw way love mineral grey new egde mustangs. For 2k plus a nice exhaust I'd just turbo it damn or 4v conversion is always a option

Info on the trickflow heads http://www.stangnet.com/mustang-forums/784352-trick-flow-2v-n-408hp-horse-power-t-v-2.html

i've been wanting to keep the car N/A....or at least make the most power I can with bolt ons. My goal is 300rwhp. With just the LTs it might leave me a little shy.

but if i get cylinder heads, and then decide on some sort of forced induction down the road, she'll just breath a lot easier than most

You can do headers by dropping the K member. Nice car, and welcome.

CAn't wait for this to start again.

my logic was that if i removed the heads, the LT headers would be fairly easy to slide in and could do all the work myself in my garage.

for just a LT header install it seems like you'd need to either unbolt the motor mounts and use a engine crane to lift the engine up to get space or just drop the K-member (which is the most common way)....but I just dont even have a logical order of events on how i could pull that off in my garage....well....maybe put the k-member on jack stands, lift the car with the floor jack...? i dont know, doesn't sound like that would go smoothly for me.
