What is the best out of the box intake for a big cube SBC w/n20 revving to 7500rpm, 23* motor??

if I could get a dart single plane I would but I am going to try out the team G...I heard it was pretty good for the money

I would look into how many cubes ? 23* may not even be capable at over 400+ cubes revving that high unless you plan on sacrificng alot of TQ to make RPM.

i have a brodix HV1000 intake right now...gasket matched to my brodix heads..just want to know if the super vic., vic. jr., team g, or dart would be worth the switch?! Carbed, 23* 421ci motor

I am gonna go with a big no here. Now if you switch out to some brodix -18 x heads and intake 7500 would be good.

what do you mean...(a big no)? explain please....im not asking if it will make power to 7500, just want to know which is a better intake

SUPER VICTOR with some t-daddy work......and definately some 18* would be a big upgrade......u need some big ports to rev them inches.......u've got the cam now put some real heads behind it......

The interesting part about revving engines is that if they are running out of air it gets progressively harder on the rods and rod bolts. My advice would be to look into some -18 x heads with that intake. Even at the same runner size it will pick up a ton of power. revving to 7500 rpm is fine but without having the airflow to support it the engine is going to take a serious pounding. \

I just don;t see even the most baddass SBC 23* heads going to 7500 on 421 cubes.

you could stand to benefit from a change like this a great deal.

However if your using nitrous when you pull the engine to that rpm it wouldn't be as bad.

I agree the supper victor would help your current heads a little bit.

I would check with Brodix but i belive there -18 X stuff is bolt on and the piston should work. don't hold me to this I haven;t used a setup like that in years so the memory is a bit fuzzy. There is a slim chance you may have to rework your existing piston reliefes a bit.

could i change just the heads to the -18* and intake, or do i have to change pistons and headers as well?

18*x heads seem to flow pretty close to the same as my current K1 M1 cnc'd 227cc heads...chart is within 2-5cfm from .100-.700 i do believe...could be wrong though
