belt size

anyone know what size belt im going to need ? 302 with no a/c or smog pump , auto parts store is no help and neither is google ....... or a belt size with no a/c seeing how i already have the smog delete pulley

Take some string and route it as the belt would go. Then measure the string for length and - 1 inch for tensioner. Take that measurement to the parts store and tell them year/make and model and that you need the same belt in this length.

if you tell them the year and make they will look at you stupid. Measure the string, ask for part by number. If it's a 45 inch belt, that's going to be part number 450K6 The first numbers are the length, and the last is rib count. 42.5" Is 425K6...get where i'm going here?
