Belle Tire Sucks

How can you market a item with a lifetime warrenty when the item is designed to wear out and do it's job? Same with wiper blades?

Again, for a shop/store to offer that it is good for business. It gives customer s one more reason to use you then another and promotes that 'feel good' feeling to customers :D

Besides, they play the odds, how many people actually save the receipt and or box for items like brake pads and wiper blades and will actually go through on the replacement for free a few years down the road? They figure that number is well under 100%, the cost of replacing the small amout of items that comes through is small considering the amount of sales you will probably gain by offering the 'warranty' :D

I have all my reciept went to swap a window motor I bought 7 years ago at AZ the lady says I need the reciept to warranty it , should have seen the look on her face when i handed it over, i actually scan all of them and back them up on a CD for the truck

they are but not for warranty purposes at least thats what they told me, I dont mind i bought the motor for the syclone and used the warranty for the typhoon

Took one of our company trucks in there for tires and alingment. they didnt seat the wheel on the hub correctly and tightened it down cocked on the hub then aligned it that way and somehow didnt notice it until i pulled outta bell tire on . Then 30 seconds later i come back the lugs are all loose now because the wheel sat back on the hub like it should. Needless to say they are good for tires and thats it. Although i do have to give them props on tire prices. A guy i know up there always seems to give me and my father very good prices and gets our trucks and motorhome in and out promptly.

I have you covered now bro... Whenever you need pads and rotors(good shit) I have them at my warehouse... :rockwoot: :rockwoot:

What happened to AZ's receipts being stored into the computer?

They're changing their return policy (yes I work for them). My store actually scans your liscense (sp?). They also ask for the reciept. A manager can override it (aka a customer that's is always in there loses the reciept, etc.)There's been a lot of scams going around lately. Don't want to post them all up here. You should see the looks on these guys faces when they're asked for some type of ID. They usually go ok thanks and hurry out the door. Not sure how many other stores are doing it. I agree the lifetime warranty brings people in. A lot of people forget all about it and never use the warranty or sell the vehicle.

I've opened and ran 8 Brakes and suspension shops in Michigan....12 in California...and 10 in Florida....Let me give you the lowdown on Lifetime warranty pads....
Shops will install pads and give you the warranty but a year later you comeback grinding, guess what your buying rotors...big deal I'll give you a set of $9 brake pads but your still spending $200 plus what ever else was found on your car....calipers, rear brakes, struts, shocks, tie rods, tires, alignments, tune up/oil change....get it?

Yea you know how i do.

Find that hard to believe. But I guess that is how you interpreted it. Find it very very hard to believe you were treated like that.

beleve it iam willing to meet somone to show them the wheel my buddy was up there with me they said they would refund the 60 dollar labor I should have done it at my work i could have done a beter job with a broke machine.

what are the wheels you have?

I have 17-10.5 alum black bullets, they were new in the box and I checked them when I droped them off they were pefect. They have a wheel lip ring on them to protect during shipping. It was a real shame because I was looking for tires for my 17-9s but i have put it off cause i might sell them now. I called corprate after the guy at the counter told me it was like that his tech told him so, I dont know why they mounted it and didnt call me then. After I talked to jeff at corprate he set me up with the manager of the store the next day. Forgot the guys name he told me it looks like its been mounted befor on a car. I showed him the back side of the wheel no marks and none were the lugs would be torqued down. Then he said well all refund you your labor with is 60 bucks. I proceded to bitch and called corprate when I got home, Jeff couldnt do anything for me, but he was a big help atleast getting me into talk to the manager after the guy at the counter wouldnt let me on the phone or in person. I went back up to the store and told the service manager to fuck off you can keep the 60 bucks you fuckin con artist and told him iam never doing buisness with him my friends family and anyone I talk to will here this story, and my work will not be buying our 2500 dollar rims and tires for our aftermarket jeep wrangler package from him. My service manager was appauled and we havnt been there to date.

Exactly, gets you back in THEIR shop.

It doesn't work like that anymore... Use to in the old days... In todays day in age... It doesn't even come close to working like that....

I still see it as one of those basic things I guess.
If someone is comparing a few places and one offers something like a lifetime warranty on pads, for example, it may just be enough to sway them

Like discount tire fixing flats for walk in customers for free :)

The biggest thing nobody sees is... Big corporations can afford to do all this... The little mom and pap shops everyone loves don't have the budgets to do things the big corps. do...

I can see that. Money makes things go round.
