Beer snobs help!

I think we have enough beer snobs on here to resolve this, at least I hope so. The place I used to snag my favorite Founders Devil Dancer (Triple IPA) and Double Trouble (Double IPA) no longer carries it. When you guys are out and about buying your brew, if you happen to spot anyone carrying either please let me know.

I live in Bloomfield Hills but I'll drive anywhere for good beer. Cheers.

It's likely that they're only brewed for a limited release so once it's gone you'll have to wait until next year. I had Devil Dancer a couple of weeks ago at the Farmington Harvest Moon beer tasting and it was pretty good.

That said, I'll keep my eyes open at the stores by my house.

My buddy is a Brewer's Assistant for Founders and he said the double trouble IPA was discontinued and replaced by Redankulous. He said they will still occasionally have it on tap in the taproom (grand rapids). The devil dancer is made in June so it might be hard to places that still have it. I would call around to lower volume party stores and see if they still have some.

Zetounas liquor on Rochester rd just south of m-59 has a great selection. One of the guys there is named jack. He's super knowledgeable and friendly. He usually keeps the super rare stuff behind the counter. Check it out

Also, oddsides makes a triple IPA called "the implication" that is really good. I'm not a huge IPA fan, I like stouts, porters, and brown ales, but the triple ipa's taste better to me.

IPA= sucking perfume thru a used bandage.... seriously who drinks that swill....

To each their own.... However, have you done any other beer tasting? Not every IPA is super hoppy or bitter (IBUs) some have better flavor or different characteristics depending on the hops that are used during the brew process.

I uses to hate beer..... I have tasted many beers and now love to brew and have a keg fridge. Its all about what your tastes buds desire.

This. If you call and they have it I can pick it up tonight and I'm heading to M1 Concourse tomorrow for their car show in the morning if you wanted to meet there.

Thanks fellas, also I did try that one on Roch Rd south of 59 with no luck. Those guys have EVERYTHING else though, amazing selection. Great car and alcohol support here!
