We haven't been doing as much posting as we'd like lately, so here's a quick run-down on the latest.
Still been working hard on the business to earn happy clients.

430 Scud isn't complete yet, but she's getting there and should be a Cars Karts & Coffee

Lots of carbin fiber that requires a lot of polishing to smooth out.

Heavily abused (on the exterior) CTS-V new lease on life. Ten hours after starting, she looked better-than-new.

Pearl Black TL that I didn't know was pearlescent until we began working on her. Finished her off with Dodo Juice Supernatural which we haven't been able to use enough lately.

By the time we were on final finishing, she looked amazing. It was hard to tell a reflection from life.

Supernatural wax going on...

Supernatural is my favorite wax on black. Maybe you can tell why even in low light.

Someone's Twin-Turbo Ford GT had some more work done to include an engine bay detail.

Salt from the salt flats... When you forget one little place on the car - you find this at the end which requires a rewash :(
Luckily it only took an extra 20 minutes to remove the last of the salt from the front fender liners and A-arms.

Full write-ups coming soon on some of these. Thanks for the continued support and if anyone has any questions, please let me know :)

the jetski's are crazy. I would have thought those were trashed and could not be brought back. Amazing.

any tips for engine bay detailing? mine is filthy and wonder what you suggest, it wont be a twin turbo Ford GT underthe hood, but clean would be nice.thx

those skis came out amazing, what did you guys use on them??

Wool pad+rotary+3M Rubbing Compound, Meguiar's 105 on orange, and I think something else... But that's where the main correction came from along with 303 on the black trim.

I like your avatar - I knew I recognized a familiar symbol at Waterford Hills last Thursday.
Engine bay detailing should always be done with caution, especially if you're working on an older / delicate car. Diluted APC (We chose P21S Total Auto Wash because of its safe but effective power on the Ford GTTT) and soft brushes do a lot to help. There is no spray on rinse off anything - you'll need a couple good brushes to agitate. In our case we used some toothbrushes on harder surfaces and boar's hair brushes on everything else. Afterwards, make sure to thoroughly rinse. For the GTTT, we did flushing with pure reverse osmosis water that had no dissolved particulates to help avoid any type of water spotting. Another way around this is to make sure you quickly dry as much as possible. This can be done using towels to dab dry or by using a dedicated leaf blower.

Don't forget to check out the "Ask AutoLavish" thread linked in my signature for more good tips and tricks, and I hope this has been helpful.

we have that viper at work. they must drive it hard. it could use another session

I KNOW they drive it hard... and without anyone really caring for her ( "it's not mine!" mentality), I feared she was doomed to being wiped down with dirty rags and never having a proper wash for the rest of her miles :(

Not to take away from autolavish but the gelcoat on jetskies and boats is pretty thick there is alot of nice color still left hiding under most faded colors on jetskies.
